Petra
Petra, the Pink City and one of the Seven Wonders of the World, is undoubtedly Jordan's greatest treasure and the kingdom's most important tourist destination. Petra is a spacious and extended city, carved by the Nabateans in the rock, and the Nabateans are Arab traders who settled the region 2000 years ago, to work on turning it into a major center on the Silk Road, the spice route and other trade routes that linked China, India and the south of the Arab region with Egypt, Syria, Greece and Rome .
Entry to Petra is by one road, the Siq; The Siq is a narrow path, one kilometer long, surrounded on both sides by rocky cliffs up to 80 meters high.
Walking through the Siq to enter the city of Petra is in itself an exciting and rich experience, and the rock formations and formations along it are impressive.
