• Thyroid treatment
  

  
  It is a gland at the front of the neck that secretes the hormone thyroxin and its increase leads to:

  1- General fatigue and Nervousness
  2-   Increased Heartbeat
  3- Weight Loss

   The diagnosis includes a gland examination in the clinic or by ultrasound and gland activity tests, TSH,FREE T4

  The patient is given appropriate treatment depending on the type of diagnosis and is either with medications, radioactive iodine or surgery

  The following Hypothyroidism causes:

  1- General fatigue, Laziness, Inactivity and Pallor
  2- Memory Impairment
  3- Irregular Menstrual Cycle and Difficulty in Getting Pregrant
  
  

  There is also a nodule in the thyroid gland, which is treated according to its size and the possibility of being benign or malignant, from which an needle sample is taken to examine the cells FNA NEEDLE BIOPSY. By ultrasound, it is determined if the mass is solid or a cystic wherein the fluids can be withdrawn

  Adrenal Disorder

  This is either an increase in secretion leading to CUSHING SYNDROME which causes:

  1- High Blood Pressure
  2- Skin Thinning
  3- High Blood Diabetes
  4- Cracks in the Skin

   Its treatment is done first by proper diagnosis and knowledge of the source of high cortisol whether from medications taken by the patient to treat other diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis , asthma, adrenal tumors or pituitary tumors that lead to the secretion of cortisol by the adrenal gland by acth.

  Lack of Adrenal Secretion leads to

   Hyperpigmentation of skin of sun-exposed area. It can also lead to drop in blood pressure and general fatigue called Addison disease

  The patient has to be informed by his treating physician regarding the condition because he should take extra doses of cortisol before certain conditions like major operations or any stress condition

• Type 1 and 2 Diabetes
  

  
  In these conditions, the appropriate treatment must be chosen whether it is anti-sugar pills or insulin and there must be follow-up of the patient to prevent complications, detect and treat early.  Such as  diabetes retinal disease , kidney disease, peripheral nerve disorder, blood pressure treatment and high cholesterol associated with diabetes

• Disorders of the parathyroid glands
  

  
  Which leads to an increase in calcium in the body and the formation of kidney stones and the decrease in the secretion of the parathyroid glands, which leads to the descent of calcium less than 5 mg and causes cramps and pain in the muscles.

• Osteoporosis
  

  
  It is a defect in bone composition and calcium deficiency that is diagnosed by a Dexa Scan. Appropriate treatment is given according to fragility level. Osteoporosis happens more to women, especially after cessation of menstrual cycle
