General instructions for visitors

In order to preserve your health and the safety of your patients, and so that we can serve you in a safe environment, please adhere to all instructions and laws in force within the hospital:

Visitor Policy

Adherence to the visit instructions, which are:

  1. Visiting hours at Al-Istiklal Hospital start from nine in the morning until nine thirty in the evening every day, please adhere to the visiting dates, and for a maximum of half an hour.
  2. The need for an escort with the patient in order to help him is determined with the permission of the specialist doctor who supervises the patient if the patient needs that.
  3. The main hospital doors close at eleven o'clock at night.
  4. Entry from the main emergency gate during the night shift is after the eleventh hour at night, and only in necessary cases, for a period of 10 minutes.
  5. Children visiting patients' departments must be accompanied by adults at all times of the visit, and their visit must be limited, organized, and approved by the doctor or health care providers.
  6. For the sake of the health of your children, please do not bring children under the age of twelve.
  7. Please do not bring food and drink to your patients, and if it is necessary, please coordinate with the nutritionist before bringing food, in order to determine the quality and quantity of food before bringing it, according to the doctor’s instructions and the patient’s diet in case the food is brought before the approval of the nutritionist is obtained. Please contact her through the operator of the divider at the extension number (0) and request a nutritionist to determine whether the food is suitable for the patient's health condition or not.
  8. Adherence to non-smoking inside the hospital building. A smoking area has been allocated outside the building in front of the main entrance to the hospital
  9. Maintaining calm and general cleanliness and preserving hospital property.
  10. The hospital has policies for transferring patients within the departments or transferring them from Istiklal Hospital to another hospital or vice versa, and in the event that any patient or his family wants to transfer their patients, they can be informed of the correct mechanism for that.
  11. Employee identification card: There is an employee identification card that includes the employee's name, picture and job title. Please do not allow any person who does not have this card to provide you with any service, and you must report it directly.
  12. The hospital administration is not responsible for the loss of any personal property of the visitor.
  13. It is forbidden to accompany the patient to the catheterization or surgery department.
  14. It is forbidden to sit on the patient's bed or bring chairs from the rest.
  15. Please do not use the mobile phone near the patient and in areas where there is medical equipment, and please keep it in the (silent) mode.
  16. Please wash your hands with the sterilizer before entering to visit the patient and after the visit, noting that the sterilizer is in front of each patient's room.
  17. Contact directly with the patient affects both your health and the patient's health.
  18. Please do not speak loudly in the hospital and be careful not to cry and scream.
  19. You must take into account the privacy of the patient and his relatives during your visits.
  20. Treat all staff, other patients and visitors with courtesy and respect.
  21. Adherence to general rules and respect for the religious, intellectual and sectarian beliefs of others.
  22. Follow hospital regulations and instructions.
  23. Follow the hospital's security and safety regulations and instructions.

Instructions for visiting patients in the intensive care unit:

  1. Visiting hours in the intensive and intensive care unit are from eight in the morning until six in the evening, and the doctors ’instructions do not allow an escort to be with the patient during the night after the end of the declared visiting hours.
  2. Wash hands with sterilizer before entering the ward and upon leaving it.
  3. Please wear a special sterile dress when entering the isolation rooms.
  4. Please follow the instructions of the security officer present at the door of the intensive care unit and urgently in the event that the specialist physician permanently forbids visiting the patient if it negatively affects his health or his health condition is critical, especially the patients in the isolation rooms. Security for the sake of patient safety.
  5. The visit is limited to one person in order to preserve the safety and privacy of the patient and that the duration of the visit does not exceed (five minutes). Also, please do not stay with the patient during the patient’s medical care by doctors and nursing staff.
  6. It is strictly forbidden to take children under the age of twelve in order to preserve the health of patients and children.
  7. It is forbidden to bring live and live flowers to the sick due to the risk of infection. The flowers that come on the patient’s name are handed over to the family.
  8. The use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited in the department due to the presence of electronic devices affected by this.

    Exceptions for visiting appointments in hospital departments and the intensive care unit:

1. First-degree relatives of the patient are allowed to visit their patients in the following cases outside the specified visiting times:

1.1 If the nature of the visitor's work does not enable him to visit his patient at the specified visiting times, provided that this is proven.

1.2 If the patient's condition is critical (bad) based on the decision of the specialist doctor.
